المؤتمر يرفع شعار: جائحة كورونا من أزمة إلى فرصة
تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبد العزيز بن طلال بن عبد العزيز رئيس المجلس العربي للطفولة والتنمية، وفي إطار الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للطفل، يعقد المجلس مؤتمرا بعنوان “جائحة كورونا وحقوق الطفل: من أزمة إلى فرصة”، وذلك يوم الإثنين 16 نوفمبر 2020، عبر تقنية الزووم.
وقد صرح الدكتور حسن البيلاوي أمين عام المجلس العربي للطفولة والتنمية بأن المؤتمر يهدف إلى تسليط الضوء على التحديات الجديدة التي تواجهها قضايا الطفولة بسبب جائحة كورونا، وتعزيز الحوار حول قضايا الطفولة في العالم العربي ودور المجلس فيها، والإسهام في معالجة التحديات الحالية من خلال توفير المنصات وتعزيز التواصل العربي.
يتحدث في المؤتمر عدد من ممثلي المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية، والخبراء من ذوي العلاقة حول موضوعات تتعلق بالتأثيرات الاجتماعية والنفسية والصحية لجائحة كورونا على حقوق الأطفال في المنطقة العربية، خاصة الأطفال في ظروف صعبة: الأطفال العاملين واللاجئين نموذجا، وتعليم الأطفال في ظل جائحة كورونا، ودور القطاع الخاص والمجتمع المدني في مواجهة تلك التأثيرات، والإمكانيات التكنولوجية في مواجهة تأثيرات جائحة كورونا على الأطفال: التحديات والفرص.
يذكر أن المجلس العربي للطفولة والتنمية منظمة عربية غير حكومية ذات شخصية اعتبارية تعمل في مجال الطفولة برئاسة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن طلال بن عبد العزيز. وأُسس المجلس عام 1987 بمبادرة من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير طلال بن عبد العزيز، رحمه الله، بناء على التوصية الصادرة من مؤتمر الطفولة والتنمية الذي عقد بتونس عام 1986 تحت رعاية جامعة الدول العربية. ويتخذ المجلس من مدينة القاهرة مقراً له، ويتطلع إلى أن يكون منظمة رائدة في مجال حقوق الطفل في الوطن العربي، ومرجعية للمؤسسات والأفراد والأسر لإعداد طفل عربي قادر على المشاركة في تنمية مجتمعه.

Under the Auspices of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal, the Arab Council for Childhood and Development is organizing a Conference on “COVID-19 Pandemic and Child Rights” under the Slogan: COVID-19 Pandemic from Crisis to Opportunity
Under the auspices of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, the President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD), and in the context of the celebration of the World Children’s Day, ACCD is organizing a Webinar Conference entitled “COVID-19 Pandemic and Child Rights” under the Slogan “COVID-19 Pandemic from Crisis to Opportunity” on Monday, November 16, 2020.
Dr. Hassan Al-Bilawi, the Secretary General of ACCD, stated that the aims of the Conference are; to shed a light on new challenging issues facing childhood due to COVID-19 pandemic; to promote dialogue on childhood issues in the Arab countries and the role of ACCD in this regard; and to contribute to tackling the current challenges through providing platforms and strengthening Arab communication.
A number of representatives of international and regional organizations, and relevant experts, will speak at the Conference on topics related to the social, psychological and health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on child rights in the Arab region, especially children in difficult circumstances: “working children and refugees as a model”. The Conference’s speakers will also address issues on children’s education during the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of private sector and civil society in confronting these effects, and the technological capabilities in facing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children: challenges and opportunities.
ACCD is an Arab regional non-governmental organization that has a legal entity and operating in the field of childhood under the presidency of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz. ACCD was founded in 1987 upon the initiative of the late HRH Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, and a resolution issued by the Arab League’s Conference on “Childhood and Development” that was held in Tunisia in 1986. The headquarters of ACCD is Cairo, Egypt. ACCD is seeking to be a leading organization in the field of child rights in the Arab world, and a reference for institutions, individuals and families to raising up of an Arab child able to participate in the development of his/her society.
